Over the past decade, Queen Elizabeth II and her family have celebrated many milestones. Spectacular weddings, royal babies, important anniversaries-they and royal fans have witnessed this. In November 2007, the Queen and Prince Philip were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Their eldest son, Prince Charles, hosted a formal dinner at Clarence House (Clarence House) in London, attended by members of the royal family.
At the time, Prince William recently rekindled his relationship with his current wife, Kate. The couple, who met in college, broke up briefly for several months in April 2007, but by June this year they were back together. Prince Harry is now engaged to Megan Markle and is close to his then girlfriend Chelsea David.
Meanwhile, Prince Edward and his wife, Countess Wessex, look forward to their son, James, who was born a month after the incident.
Now look at how the royal family has changed over the past decade.
Queen Elizabeth II
Over the past decade, the Queen has celebrated a series of milestones. In 2012, she celebrated her 60th anniversary with a diamond wedding ceremony. In 2015, she became Britain’s longest-serving monarch; Her great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, served 216 days for 63 years until her death in 1901.
In 2016, the Queen celebrated her 90th birthday, and in 2017, she and Prince Philip celebrated their platinum wedding anniversary, becoming the first royal couple to celebrate their 70th anniversary.
Millions around the world see Prince Philip as a staunch spouse, always with his wife in official activities, hiking and royal trips. The 96-year-old has been a patron, president or member of more than 780 organizations, but in May, after 65 years in office, the royal family announced he would retire.
Philip’s last official event was in August, in the front yard of Buckingham Palace. Three months later, he and the Queen celebrated their 70th anniversary. The Queen has said before: “it is simple that he has always been my strength and has always been with me.”
William Arthur Philip Louis
The Duke of Cambridge is arguably one of the most experienced members of the royal family in the past decade. Prince William has been awarded the Royal Air Force Flight Medal since 2007, serving as a search and rescue pilot for the Army and as an air ambulance pilot for the East Anglia Air Ambulance.
In his private life, William settled down in 2011 and married his longtime girlfriend Kate. They have since welcomed two lovely children, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte. Prince William and Kate welcomed their third child, Prince Louis, in April 2018.
William, who now lives at Kensington Palace, moved from Anglesey to Norfolk and returned to London, where he took on more royal duties on behalf of his grandmother.
About a decade ago, Princess Eugenie completed her studies in Marlborough College, a boarding school attended by the Duchess of Cambridge. Before Newcastle went to college, she took a year off, where she studied art history, English literature and political science.Eugenie met her longtime boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, who married at St. George’s Church in Windsor in October 2018.
In 2013, Eugenie moved to New York for a year as welfare auction manager at Paddle8. Then she moved back to London, where she is currently deputy director of the Hauser&Wirth Art Gallery.
